when it comes to horse riding techniques, there are many theories. Here are some interesting tidbits of information or shall I say opinions - to put it more accurately. People fall off their horse because they have no leg control. (As much as I agree with the fact that many riders only fall because they can't ride, it is most definitely not nearly the only reason). Tell any Olympic equestrian that he/she has no leg control after a fall... Falling off a horse has little to do with how talented you are. horseback riding is a team of horse and rider. It is partially the rider's fault and partially the horse's. A big reason people fall of is because they are looking down. If you are so worried about the jump or whatever and you are looking down at your feet, it upsets your whole balance. It makes your shoulders hunch and drop your head and you fall forward.
You know you haven't been riding enough if you haven't fallen off! Falling off is part of riding. More horseback riding tips
