A Child's Love For
An Injured Horse

Horse Story:

When I was 8 ( I am 12 now ) I fell in love with a horse. It was not my horse but I wanted to buy it with all my heart.

He fell in a water tank and got injured. It took a while for him to recover completely but he did. (So we thought.) I just adored him.

As time passed he developed a lump on his back and the saddle started hurting him so badly that I could not ride him anymore.

There was only one vet that was available at that time and that was in Dundee so he went there without me.

I waited in anticipation for him to come back and I also went to visit him in Dundee. But he never came back and now they say he is too old to come back to the farm here in Amanzimtoti.

I will always treasure him in my heart. He was the first horse that I rode on and since then I lost my heart to horses.
