My Canadian gelding loves tortillas and bananas. His previous owners fed him all sorts of foods. He loves just about everything...watermelon too. (I do not spoil with with tortillas and bananas. I do not even give him grain. He does super well on hay, and apples and carrots.My Quarter Horse mare doesn't like anything but her grain, carrots and apples. She won't touch a peppermint.

Hay pellets or hay extender should be mixed with water before feeding your horse
Horses with bad teeth should have their grain soaked to soften for a few minutes before feeding.
Water mixed with the feed will keep the food from balling up and sticking in his throat causing suffocation
