My Best Friend

What can I say? I love him. Every morning, I wake up to my seal brown Tennessee Walker named Doc. We've been through tough times, but many great ones too. I trust and respect him completely, and in turn so does he. We are a team. I'll stand on his back, dismount off his rear, lope across the plains, or just sit with him quietly in the field.

Sometimes he'll get antsy, so I'll quietly sing to him, which calms him down. We've chased the neighbor's cow around, rode through the trees, and jumped over logs. He'll take me anywhere, anytime without a question.

He is my best friend.
